FIRST MOMENTS

THE TRAVEL

 We started the travel at 01:00 am in Ikastola. It was very early and people were tired.

We took the bus at 01:00 am and 5 hours later we arrived in the airport of Madrid. The travel

on the bus was good but the people was excited  and because of that people didn`t sleep.

However I slept for 3 hours.

We arrived in Barajas (airport of Madrid) at 06:00 am. Here we stayed for 5 hours because the

plane was taking off  at 11:00 am. In the airport we passed through  4 check-points;  this part was a little bit boring.

After this, we took the plane at 11:00 am and 15 minutes later we were in the air.

It was the first time that I flew in a plane. The first minutes I was nervous but not for a long time..

The flight was about 8 or 9 hours, very long.

The plane had a small screen to see movies, to listen to music or to play games. We had lunch at the plane, it was good for me, for others wasn’t. Eight hours later we arrived to Washington airport (Dulles).

There we passed through one check-point,  we took our bags and we got on a bus to go to Mc Namara High School and here finished our  long travel to the U.S.A.

When we arrived to the school I was very nervous to meet with Daniella.When I met her and her mom we went home and I met her dad and sister , they showed me my room and all the house. They were very nice .Later there were moments when I wanted to return to my house but in the end I realized that at first time I would be bad but after I'd have a nice time and I would want to return.

Hello we are Sergio and Julen and we are living in Justin Kelly’s house. We live in Upper

Marlboro 20772.

We had a very boring travel by plane and 8 hours later we arrived to Washington. Then we

took a bus to go to school. We spent 1 hour in the bus looking at very strange cars. When we

arrived to Bishop McManamara High School Justin’s mother was waiting there. We had a 20

minutes travel and we arrived to our house in the United States. The first impression was:

-Ooooohh this is a really big house!!

The family is very cosy . The first day we stayed at home alone waiting for Justin. We watched The Simpsons and when Justin came we had dinner. After dinner we played X-BOX to the game

FIFA SOCCER 2012. After that we went to bed at 9:00.

Our first contact with the family was when we arrived with the bus from the airport. When we arrived Justin, the teacher who hosts us in his house, was waiting for us in the high school. We were very excited like all the students from Ikastola. He took us in his car and we went home. All other students stayed in the school one more hour we think. They were 25 minutes by car from the high school to the house, and when we were in the way we introduced each other. We think that it's better to stay in a teacher's house because he will take care of you better. When we arrived to the house, there was Justin's wife Bernadette with their son Jean Paul who is one year old and he was very cute. Then Justin showed us the house and the rooms and he asked us to choose one because there were two. We had dinner very early, at 7 o'clock, and we had chicken with rice. After that we went to sleep because we did a 21 hours travel.
