WHAT TO SEE IN WASHINGTON

The United States Capitol: The Capitol is one of the most important buildings of the world. The Senate and the House of Representatives have met here for more than the 2 centuries. From 1793 the Capitol has been built, burnt, and restored. It stands as a monument for the builders and to the American people and their government.

Mount Vernon: Located near Alexandria and Virginia, was the home of the first President of The United States, George Washington .The building is based in Neoclassical Georgian architectural style . Mount Vernon was designed a National Historic land mark in 1960 and is listed on the national register of historic places . It is open every day of the year including holidays and Christmas.

White House: It is the official residence and principal workplace of the president of the United States. It is located near to Pennsylvania Avenue NW in Washington DC. The house was built between 1792 and 1800 by Aquia Sandtone . In 1801 he expanded the building.
